Custom Children’s Portraits

Beginning with a one on one consultation, your portrait session is customized to fit your child’s personality from choice of location to style of photography. Patty’s goal is to create a natural portrait that brings out the individual beauty and spirit of each child.

Architectural Photography

The rustic character of old houses, historic buildings, and antique cars is beautifully rendered through the Polaroid Image Transfer process. After photographing the subject, Patty projects the slide image onto Polaroid film in the darkroom. Next, the dye-laden negative is pressed onto a dampened sheet of fine art watercolor paper. For the finishing touch, Patty adds detail with pastels and watercolor pencils and paints. The resulting photograph, with its subtle colors and rough edges, is reminiscent of an early 19th century photograph.

Hand Coloring of Vintage Photographs

Using your original picture as a guide, Patty reproduces your vintage photograph on archival paper. Then, according to your wishes, she’ll sepia tone and hand color the image. Old family photographs, both formal and casual, are ideal images for hand coloring. The finished piece is a meaningful tribute to your family’s history as well as a heart warming gift for someone special.
