ABOUT PATTY

After more than a decade of capturing award winning images for newspapers and magazines including The New York Times and USA Today, Patty went on to pursue her other passion – fine art photography.

After perfecting her skills in the art of hand coloring, Patty established a successful photography business specializing in handcrafted lifestyle portraits. Today, Patty’s heirloom portraits, hand colored and black and white, are found in homes and businesses across the country.

Patty’s interest in the Polaroid Image Transfer process was also key to her development as a fine art photographer. The nostalgic look of this alternative process adds an antique character to her work – especially in her landscapes and architectural subjects.

In her latest project, Patty utilizes image transfer photography to produce an eye opening book titled Florida, A Journey Through its Colorful Past. An exhibition of her most recent work will be held in the Heritage Gallery at the Museum of Florida History in Tallahassee December 12 - June 14

In January, 2009 Patty was selected as the Artist-in-Residence at Grand Canyon National Park. During her three week stay, she offered photo workshops and created images for her next project, Keepers of the Canyon. Her photographs focus on people connected to Grand Canyon through their unique lifestyles — from the mule wrangler to the Colorado River boatman.
